David is our principal dentist. He graduated from the University of Birmingham Dental School in the UK in 1984. He practised general dentistry in the UK for three years before emigrating to New Zealand in 1987. After an associate position in Otorohanga he opened his Hastings practice in 1989.
David is known for his gentle approach to dental treatment and his special interest is in restorative dentistry, improving the appearance of his patient's teeth using cosmetic procedures. This includes crowns, bridges, veneers and many other procedures to restore teeth to their natural unblemished condition.
David values the long-term relationships he has established with his regular patients over the past three decades. He is a member of the NZ Dental Association and regularly attends professional development courses to keep his knowledge of contemporary dentistry fresh and up-to- date.
Aidan graduated from the University of Otago’s Faculty of Dentistry with Distinction.
Originally raised in the heart of Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, Aidan has since settled down in sunny Hawke’s Bay and joined us as an associate dentist in June 2026.
Aidan is known for having a keen ear for all of his patients’ concerns and an empathetic approach to patient care. He believes in transparency and clear communication throughout any dental appointment.
In his free time, he enjoys fostering kittens with his partner, watching movies tucked under a blanket on a rainy day, and exploring what Hawke’s Bay has to offer!
